Increased deliveries for Volvo Buses
» Volvo Buses reports an increase in deliveries during the third quarter. 2,351 buses were delivered, which was an increase of 11% compared with the same quarter in the preceding year. The operating income was however negative.

New powerful and fuel-efficient 13-liter engine
» Volvo Buses is now launching a 13-liter engine for the Volvo 9700 and Volvo 9900 models. The new engine is stronger but also more fuel-efficient than its predecessor.

Volvo to sell 100 bi-articulated buses to Sao Paulo
» Volvo Buses has received an order for 100 bi-articulated Volvo B9SALF buses to Sao Paulo in Brazil and an order for a further 84 articulated buses for the BRT system in Bogota, Colombia. Volvo will thus strengthen its position as the leading supplier of buses for these smart transport systems.

Volvo to launch bus-adapted alcolock system
» The new alcolock system from Volvo Buses is specifically adapted for the bus industry’s requirement for rapid driver changes on route. The vehicle can be started without a breath test, but the brakes will remain locked if the driver is not sober.

» In recent months, Volvo Buses in Israel has received orders for more than 300 buses. For the first time, customers in Israel have opted to purchase the Volvo B7RLE low-entry bus and B7R commuter buses.
