» Volvo Buses has received an order for 107 bus chassis to Israel. Deliveries start now and will be ongoing through July.

» Volvo Buses reported higher order bookings during the first quarter of 2008 compared with the corresponding period in the preceding year. Deliveries were at the same level but the result was negative.

» After finalizing the negotiations with employee representatives, Volvo Buses has decided to close the bus body plant in Tampere, Finland. The company will also reorganize operations at the body plant in Turku to increase the competitiveness. In total, 237 employees will be given notice.
