» Volvo Buses reports an increase in deliveries during the third quarter. 2,351 buses were delivered, which was an increase of 11% compared with the same quarter in the preceding year. The operating income was however negative.

» Volvo Buses is now launching a 13-liter engine for the Volvo 9700 and Volvo 9900 models. The new engine is stronger but also more fuel-efficient than its predecessor.

» Volvo Buses has received an order for 100 bi-articulated Volvo B9SALF buses to Sao Paulo in Brazil and an order for a further 84 articulated buses for the BRT system in Bogota, Colombia. Volvo will thus strengthen its position as the leading supplier of buses for these smart transport systems.
