With the new products based on the TX-platform Volvo Buses takes safety efforts one step further into the future. These are some of the new additional safety features we can offer:

Driving safety:
• Disc brakes
• Integrated hydraulic retarder.
• Good visibility thanks to large glass panels and large rear view mirrors.
• A pleasant interior climate aids concentration and increases the driver's capacity.
• Ergonomically designed driver's compartment gives the driver full control over the vehicle and surroundings.
• Reversing camera, gives the driver full overview behind the bus when reversing.

Collision safety:
• Deformable safety steering wheel, "gives" if the driver is thrown against the steering wheel in a collision.
• Roll-over tested and approved according to ECE regulation 66 (roof strength)
• Frontal collision protection
• Seatbelt cushions for children.
• Seat belts for driver and passengers.
• Interior without sharp or protruding objects.

Fire safety:
• Smoke detectors in the luggage compartment and in the toilet.
• Fire warning sensors in the engine compartment.
• The engine compartment can be equipped with a fire extinguishing system.
• Flame retardant fabrics.
