» The last couple of days I have been visiting Stockholm and the Volvo Ocean Race event. Being an old sailor I find the V70 yachts fundamentally spectacular. And, the incredible speed they achieve is truly thrilling. Any way, I spent my time at our seminars connected to the event. » The historic venue of Alexandra Palace in London provided a fitting backdrop today (Tuesday 7th July) for the world debut of the first of a new generation of highly fuel efficient and environmentally friendly Volvo Hybrid Double Deck buses to Arriva London.

» Volvo Buses, with subsidiary Sunwin Bus, signed a framework agreement for 1,500 buses with bus operator Bashi Group in Shanghai, China. The agreement is valued at approximately SEK 1.3 billion and the buses will be delivered up to the opening of the World Expo in Shanghai in May next year.

» Volvo Buses’ subsidiary in North America, Nova Bus, has secured an order for 90 articulated buses for New York City. The buses will be assembled at the new plant in Plattsburgh, US, which was opened on Monday.
