The current portfolio includes the Volvo 9400 inter-city bus in the luxury, air-conditioned coach segment. The Volvo 9400 has however, acted as much more than a just a mere product.
Volvo buses in India is driving the change in the markets. We feel priveleged and proud that we have been able to raise the passengers expectation in bus travel. We are also glad to see the positive impact among State Road Transport Corporations. Many of these organisations have created branded fleets that reflect the increased level of service that they assure. The trend is common across State Road Transport Corporations - the SRTC's of Karnataka, Kerala, Maharastra and Andhra Pradesh. We now have brands such as the APSRTC's 'Garuda' fleet of Volvo's, KSRTC's 'Airavat' that mark a product differentiation that the Volvo 9400 brings to the Indian bus market.
