Volvo offers efficient bus transport systems. The core is the diesel engine, that uses SCR technology to minimise the fuel consumption and life cycle cost for the bus operators. The diesel engines are fitted to the worlds most modern and appropriate gear boxes. For the coaches the I-Shift gear box saves at least 5% compared to other optimised alternatives. In addition the 12 gear range makes the bus specification insensitive to which rout it is specified for and it makes all drivers good drivers! We strongly promote Dynafleet for improved control of the fuel consumption. For City fleets ITS4Mobility enables both real time passenger information and fleet management of time tables, fuel consumption and maintenance.
