Role (Purpose of the job)
- Management of the long term product portfolio plan (machines, options, attachments, soft offers) to secure long-term competitiveness in line with LG BL strategy
- Develop relevant decision and project assurance documents according to Volvo FPP and to the GDP.
- Secure future fulfillment regarding laws & regulations
- Establishment and ownership of the PPD process improvement road map
- Driving process improvement initiatives with the PPD process such as CAD and PDM tools, GDP etc
- Coordination of KPIs within PPD
- Support ongoing product development projects with process and methods
- Support change management activities within the PPD process
Coordination with Volvo CE patent network
Key Responsibility
- Investigation of new business opportunities.
- Analysis of customer, competitor and related industry behavior
- Interface towards the Volvo regions and coordinate market contacts with other Business lines
- Develop relevant decision documents,
- Ensure project alignment with the overall long term portfolio objectives
- Lead and drive process improvement initiatives
- Audit ongoing projects and processes
- Issue KPIs on a regular basics and follow up that corrective actions are taken
Main competence requirements
- Knowledge of Chinese construction equipment market and customer base
- Good understanding of various customer applications and segments
- Good business understanding
- Knowledge and several years of experience of product development
- Experience from product planning
- Experience and training in project management in product development
- Good knowledge in English both written and spoken is essential
- Experience of working in a international environment
- Good communication skills
- Open positive attitude, target oriented, flexible and able to work with limited supervision
- Good ability to communicate and to work with people at different level since the network is broad both inside and outside the company
- Good co-ordination skills
- Master degree or equivalent in engineering
