A century after the foundation of Munktell’s (the tractor and construction machine manufacturer), the company merged with Bolinder’s (the engine specialist) in 1932 and formed AB Bolinder-Munktell, popularly referred to as BM.
Adaptations to modified conditions took place and new investments in product development and production facilities were made.
Some areas of manufacture (i.e. white goods – ovens, refrigerators etc.) remained in a separate company with a plant outside Stockholm.
