Rose Worley, owner of Amadeus Coachways, won a child’s mini motorbike at a customer event held at Volvo Truck and Bus Centre at Ely in the summer. She instantly handed it over to her local Volvo dealer in Coventry as a prize for their Christmas raffle.

“As soon as I saw the bike I thought what a super prize it would make for the Volvo raffle” explained Rose. “The Air Ambulance is a great cause, particularly for those of us in the coach industry who are continually out on the road, so I’m glad to be able to support it in this way.”
Paul Dunn, Parts Manager at the Volvo dealership in Coventry, who is organising the raffle says that thanks to the mini motorbike, ticket sales are already off to a flying start:
“Volvo and other local businesses have been incredibly generous and we’re fortunate to have a selection of fantastic prizes but it’s the bike that is really grabbing people’s attention” he commented.
“Customers have been coming in, seeing it and immediately buying a ticket because they know how much their kids would like it for Christmas!”

“Our dealership is next door to Coventry Airport where the Air Ambulance is based so we get a real flavour of the extent of their work. These guys are constantly being called out and when you consider how many lives they must be saving each year, you realise what a worthwhile cause this is. We’re delighted to support them and thrilled that ticket sales are going so well this year.”
The raffle will be drawn just before Christmas. Anyone wishing to buy a ticket should contact Paul Dunn at Volvo Truck and Bus Centre on 02476 576128.
