The term "Driver Training" is guaranteed to upset most drivers, this is probably because they think the "Driver Training" man is there to teach them how to drive. This is not the case, the driver has already had to achieve a certain standard to get an LGV licence.
So here, at Volvo, we prefer to use "Driver Development", because this term more accurately describes what we are trying to do. That is, to develop the skills that professional drivers already have, so that they can get the best from their Volvo Truck in terms of performance, fuel consumption and impact on the environment.
