Line Manager: Parts Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
To provide customers with the highest quality of service and workmanship which is consistent and befits Volvo and the Company image.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- To treat all customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- To work within the parts department on duties as defined by the management, i.e. front and back counters, goods-in, parts office and any other duties as detailed.
- To comply with the Company’s standard terms and conditions and ensure all work is carried out within the limitation of the Health and Safety Regulations. Not to endanger yourself or others by risk-taking that may be considered as dangerous or outwith Health & Safety Rules.
- To ensure Risk Assessments are used as guidelines to safe working practices at all times.
- To ensure P.P.E. is used when required, and kept in good condition at all times and to report to supervisor when replacement required.
- To ensure all parts stocks are properly received, located and secured - using documentation provided.
- To monitor the parts location file, to ensure that all parts have the control digit allocated, a proper location, especially those parts which are newly created, i.e. New Location.
- To report all stock losses or damages as soon as possible to management – using documentation provided.
- Ensure that parts reception and parts warehouse are kept clean, tidy and functional.
- To wear company clothing as supplied, in a neat presentable manner.
- To agree to alter shift patterns to ensure ‘job coverage’ within our 24 hours parts service, when necessary.
- To deliver parts as requested to customers or other branches.
- To carry out stocktaking duties.

- To ensure parts vans are kept in a clean and tidy condition and to check road-worthiness on a daily basis, and report damages. To keep within the definition of Rules and Regulations laid out in the Highway Code Manual. Driving in a safe, responsible manner.

To represent the company by good conduct and behaviour, with a positive attitude, being open, honest and trustworthy at all times.
LIMITATIONS TO AUTHORITY
No stock adjustments to be made without approval.
Not to grant credit or credit terms outside terms and conditions of trading without referral.
Not to supply goods without payment or prior credit account agreement.
