Volvo Truck And Bus Centre North was formerly known to many of our existing customers as Darlington Commercials. The name, only changing when the Company acquired Carlisle Commercials in January 2000.
The history of the business can be traced back to the 1960's when Tait's (Haydon Bridge) were Volvo Truck Dealers in the North East Of England and Cumbria. However, in the early 1970's Tait's relinquished their association with the sale of Volvo Trucks and Darlington Commercials was created, operating from of course, Darlington and Bedlington.
Thirty years later the business has expanded in many positive ways and now employs 195 people from six strategically located businesses throughout the North East, Lancashire, Cumbria and South West Scotland.
The management team and staff are fully committed to providing the highest standards and excellent levels of service to our customers in the commercial vehicle industry, and we really look forward to discussing the products and services that are available and may be of value to your business.
