What can a new recruit expect when training to be a Volvo Certified Technician?
On day one they will be introduced to the Volvo learning management system and issued with their User ID's and passwords, before completing three online learning packs:
- Welcome to the Volvo Group
- Volvo Vehicle Technology (VVT)
- Dynafleet Online - Technician
This will all be done locally at the depot at which they are employed.
Within six weeks of their start date they will attend our purpose built training centre at Glasgow West and will be given a week of training comprising:
- Impact (the online service information system);
- Module One (Foundation) - the first steps in becoming a Volvo certified technician.
Volvo has three levels of technician for both truck and bus.
Truck
- Service technician
- Repair technician
- Master technician
Bus
- Service technician
- Repair technician
- Frontline technician

Our training programme follows a modular format comprising of online and theoretical and practical assessments on completion of each module. The majority of modules are delivered at our state of the are training centre located within Glasgow West dealership. On completion of these modules repair technicians qualify for the final two modules to achieve master technician status delivered at our Warwick training centre.
