2008-02-01 JBT’s first new Volvo’s in 4yrs

Four years after buying their last Volvo, Scottish chilled and frozen food haulier JBT have just taken delivery of the first of 38 new Volvo’s in their fleet. JBT is the leading road haulage services operator providing haulage to and from the Orkney and Shetland Islands with established Warehousing and Distribution depots in Aberdeen, Inverness and Cumbernauld.

 

The recent order, which now sees Volvo vehicles dominate the fleet, consists of 21 - FH440 6x2 tractor units, 10 - FM300 6x2 curtainside rigids, 5 - FM300 6x2 fridge van rigids and 2 - FM300 4x2 curtain side rigids all of which are fitted with I-shift gearboxes.

 

As well as investing in the premium quality offered by the Volvo product, JBT have also entrusted their repair and maintenance needs with Volvo Truck and Bus Centre Scotland with all vehicles being maintained through their Scottish dealer network for the next 4 years.
