On Volvo's 80th anniversary year, Volvo Truck and Bus Centre Scotland customers were recently invited to a series of customer roadshows held across the country which also celebrated 40 years of commitment within Scotland.

Over 600 customers attended the 6 events, and in addition to enjoying an evening of good food and some entertainment from Scotland's own Andy Cameron, customers also heard first hand about the commitments that Volvo have previously made in 2007 and how they have been delivered.

Managing Director, Derek Leggate, introduced the evening and reminded eveyone of the humble beginnings of Volvo in the UK in Barrhead back in 1967 before reminding everyone of the vision the company set back in 2001 and the commitments made.
Aftermarket Director, Martin Merrick, then described the key events of the past six years which included major renovations, extensions and even the building of the new  purpose built facility at Cardonald.  In addition to the bricks and mortar, details of the significant investment in people and equipment were also presented and supported by severeal video testimonials from customers.

Ending the formal part of the evenings, Derek Leggate made a commitment that the company would continue to be pro-active and seek new ways of adding value to customers businesses.  2 New initiatives which demonstrated this commitment were the announcement of the imminent launch of Customer Portal, an online fleet management tool and the includion og Nissan cabstar and Interstar into the product range from 1st January 2008.
