Legal requirements for all waste streams are met and as an ISO 14001 accredited company, often exceeded. Materials recycled from our site include - Used Oil and Filters, used coolant, used plastic containers, vehicle batteries, scrap metal components, used absorbents and rags, waste electrical and electronic equipment, cardboard packaging and paper
Thanks to our recycling, only a small amount of wastes are landfilled. This has great benefits to the environment and our company.
Many commonly used items are being replaced with reusable types, for example-
- Rechargeable dry cell batteries replacing disposables in electrical equipment. On our small site there are in excess of 50 dry cell batteries in use daily.
- Rechargeable and refillable aerosol type cans have replaced most disposable aerosol types. These are more economical to use, and do not require recycling every time they are empty!
