Our History 

Serving the Carolinas since 1995, Volvo and GMC Truck Center of Carolina boasts a complete offering of products and services to meet your needs.  We have built up a truck dealership business that consists of 3 full service locations in Charlotte, Hickory and Rocky Mount, NC offering new Volvo, GMC, Hino, Isuzu and Autocar trucks, a huge inventory of used trucks, $2.5 million in parts inventory and highly trained technicians and paint and body specialists.

We also have a full service truck leasing and rental organization called Advantage Truck Leasing.  Advantage Truck Leasing is headquartered in Charlotte, NC, with branch facilities in Hickory, Raleigh/Durham and Rocky Mount, NC, as well as in Greenville, SC.  Click on our leasing/rental button to learn more.

Terry Young President/CEO
 
Terry began his career in the truck business 30 years ago working in the service department of a truck dealership.  He then worked for Volvo for 20 years leaving the position of Executive Vice President in 1995 to become the owner of this combination Truck Dealership and Truck Lease and Rental business. He has successfully run and grown this award winning multi-city business since that time.

Terry has served as President of the Volvo Dealer Council, Board Member and Chariman of Truck Rental and Leasing Association, (TRALA), and member of GMC Dealer Council, Ameriquest Board, ATA, MPG 20 group,  NCM 20 group, NC and SC Motor Truck Associations, and ATD Dealer’s Association.  He was a runner up for ATD Truck Dealer of the Year in 2002, and continually wins high sales and customer satisfaction awards with both Volvo and GMC.

Terry currently serves as the 2003-2004 Chairman of the Truck Rental and Leasing Association.
