Song Da is the parent company of more than 20 construction companies. Song Da's core business is in infrastruction projects, particularly, in constructing Hydro-electric power plants.  They are currently constructing the 2,400MW Son La power plant costing USD2.5b.

As of 1st January 2009, they owned a total of 58 units of Volvo Construction Equipment, comprising 32 units Excavator, 9 units Wheel Loader, 5 units Articulated Hauler, 10 units Compactor and 2 units Pavers.
