Vinacomin is the parent company of around 30 coal companies, operating in both open-cast and underground mines. The estimated 2009 coal production is 42 millions MT.
As of 1st January 2009, they owned a total of 144 units of Volvo Construction Equipment, comprising: 120 units Articulated Hauler, 12 units Motor Grader, 5 units Wheel Loader, 5 units Excavator and 2 units Backhoe Loader.
