| The first Volvo Pipelayers (Volvo PL) have arrived in North America. The Volvo PL4611, one of five models in the new product class of pipelaying machines developed by Volvo Construction Equipment, is in full production and available now for the North America market. The second model in this innovative class of heavy-duty, purpose-built equipment, the Volvo PL4608, will go into production in November with first delivery dates set for December 2008. |
| The National Shingo Prize announced July 23 that the Asheville Plant is awarded the National Shingo Silver Medallion for 2008/2009. The formal recognition and award will be presented at a ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee in May 2009 as well as the North Carolina State Shingo Conference in March 2009. |

| Nuss Equipment Group LLC, a subsidiary of Nuss Truck Group, Inc., has purchased the equipment assets and inventory of the Burnsville, Minnesota, sales and service facility and operations of Sweeney Brothers Tractor Company, a Volvo Construction Equipment dealer for many years in Minnesota and North Dakota. The acquisition, effective August 1, 2008, does not affect or include Sweeney Brothers’ North Dakota branches in Fargo, Minot and Bismarck. |

Penn-Jersey Machinery has been a Volvo dealer since 2003. The acquisition by Flagler is effective June 27, 2008. |
