The Ripper/Scarifier mounts to the rear frame and is designed for breaking up asphalt or other hard-pack aggregates prior to blading. Can also be effective for uniform mixing of coarse and fine material, improving compaction of road surfaces. The ripper features a field-proven curved ripper shank design, for an attack that provides an easier penetration of hard surfaces and maximum tip life. Parallel tooth path design ensures consistent ripping depth throughout the working range and provides consistent material break up/mixing of aggregates. Allows for close operation to fixed objects such as walls, curbs and embankments. Offers full hydraulic control using lever on the steering pedestal. Can be used with two different sets of ground engaging tools: 1 to 5 ripper teeth or up to 9 scarifier teeth. Two widths available based on model size.
