Advice and tips

Handling lubricants correctly will protect your machine, your health and the environment. Here are a few important points:

Change oil and filter in time
Every hour that you operate means more impurities in the oil. Thus, wear of machine components increases toward the end of the service interval.
Neglecting oil changes may lead to even greater damage, such as burnt piston rings in the engine or increased wear of gear teeth in the transmission.
Oil filters shall be changed when changing oil. The new oil's characteristics are quickly degraded by an old filter. When the oil filters become clogged and circulation is prevented, there is an increased risk of high temperatures, oil stops and component failures.

Always keep things clean when filling oil
Neglecting cleanliness when filling oil is the major cause of impurities that lead to wear, erosion, corrosion and malfunctions. That's why it is important to keep things clean when filling, especially around the filling point.

Check the oil level
An oil level that is too low is a common cause of component failures. That's why you should always check the oil level in the engine, transmission, hydraulic systems and axles at regular intervals.

Waste oil
Waste oil should always be handled as environmentally hazardous waste. It can contain carcinogenic substances and impurities such as lead, nickel and cobalt.
Disposal is subject to national and local laws.

Direct contact with oil and grease
Daily contact may cause the skin to dry and crack. That's why you should avoid direct contact with oil and grease.
Oil smoke and oil mist irritates bronchi and can also cause injuries to the nervous system and lungs.
