Training

To be successful Volvo needs to have a culture which encourages all our employees to seek development and new challenges in their careers.

In order to achieve this every employee has a ‘Personal Business Plan’ (PBP)  --- a process and a tool  to facilitate discussions between every individual and his/her manager. They are designed to ensure that employees clearly understand their role in the  team and of what is expected of them –as well as the feedback they need to succeed.  The PBP plays a key role in helping every individual to identify and act on their own continuing development needs – in the short term and also in constructing a longer term career-path.

To support our employees’ development there are a wide range of activities offered – from traditional and e-based training, to individual coaching and mentoring. The most effective development, however, comes from work assignments in different forms e.g. international projects.
