Direct yield and dividend
From 2002 to 2006 the Volvo B share had an average annual return of 28%, including reinvested dividends. The direct yield during that same period was 7,2%, including extraordinary dividends.
In April 2007 a dividend of SEK 5 was paid, and through the redemption program another SEK 5 was paid in May 2007.
NASDAQ delisting
In December 2007, as a result of high cost and low liquidity, Volvo de-listed from the NASDAQ Exchange. Thus, the ADR program has been changed from a Level III stock that is listed on the NASDAQ, to a Level I stock that trades OTC (Over the Counter) with the new ticker symbol VOLVY.
It is important to note that the only significant effect this event has on the shareholders is that going forward, dividends will be paid in cash. The reinvestment option is no longer available.
