Claes Svedberg has been appointed Senior Managing Director at Nissan Diesel Motor Co., Ltd. He will be located at Nissan Diesel HQ in Ageo, Japan and report to the CEO of Nissan Diesel and for integration matters have a dotted line to the Alliance Office in Gothenburg. He will take up his new position from November 1, 2007.
In this role Claes will be responsible for a new function named "Volvo Nissan Diesel Integration Office" from where coordination of all integration activities between Volvo and Nissan Diesel will be handled. In addition to the Integration Office he will be responsible for Nissan Diesel’s export to Asia, i.e. contacts toward ATO (Asia Truck Operations). Claes will also be responsible for the Volvo Truck Japan business within Nissan Diesel and serve as President of Volvo Nippon KK.
The mission of the new Integration Office at Nissan Diesel is to accelerate and secure the realisation of identified synergies and ensure a smooth transition of Nissan Diesel into the
Volvo Group.
Claes is currently Vice President Alliance Office and has worked with the Nissan Diesel integration since mid 2006 based at AB Volvo HQ in Gothenburg.
