12/30/1999NYA FLYGPLANSBESTÄLLNINGAR GER VOLVO AERO ORDER PÅ MOTORKOMPONENTER FÖR EN KVARTS MILJARD KRONORVolvo Aero har fått en order på komponenter till flygmotorer från General Electrics leasingbolag GECAS, värd drygt 200 miljoner kronor. I dagarna har det också blivit klart med en beställning på komponenter till 100 CFM-56-motorer, värda cirka 50 miljoner kronor.
12/29/1999VOLVO TRUCKS WIN TRUCK OF THE YEAR 2000The Volvo FH12 will be crowned 'Truck of the Year 2000' at the Amsterdam Truck Show. This makes Volvo the first brand to have won the industry's most prestigious award five times. The FH12 is also the first model to win the award twice. The FH series was an immediate success when it was introduced in 1993 and was named Truck of the Year 1994.
12/22/1999VOLVO AERO SECURES FIRST IT ORDER IN PRODUCT SUPPORT FIELDVolvo Aero has secured its first major order for software systems. The company has been selected as the supplier of a new maintenance and planning system, Maintenix. The purchaser is the U.S. company DynCorp, which intends to use the system to enhance the efficiency of maintenance on the U.S. Army's C-12 aircraft.

12/6/1999ADVANCE RULING CONCERNING VOLVO'S PUBLIC OFFER TO SCANIA SHAREHOLDERSThe Council for Advance Tax Rulings has issued an advance ruling concerning the public offer made by AB Volvo ("Volvo") to shareholders in Scania AB ("Scania"). Under this advance ruling, which has acquired force of law, shareholders who exchange shares in Scania for shares in Volvo are entitled to deferment on taxation of the capital gain on these shares. Deferment of these shares also applies to shareholders who decide to sell part of their Scania holding for cash.
