World's leading boatbuilders choose Volvo Penta IPS
Volvo Penta has been carrying out development work on its new revolutionary boat drive system, Volvo IPS (Inboard Performance System) in close cooperation with many of the world’s largest boatbuilders. The boat builders have been able to provide input aimed at optimizing the new drive system’s characteristics.
Now, the boatbuilders can offer their customers boats with a propulsion system that has superior performance characteristics compared with traditional shaft installations.
Moreover, the IPS system takes up considerably less space than a conventional straight shaft installation and is simple to install, which opens the way for new design solutions and more efficient boat production.
Rodman in Spain, Sealine in the UK, Cranchi in Italy, Bénéteau in France, Windy in Norway and Tiara in the US are just a few of the boatbuilders who have launched IPS boats – either in the form of existing boat models or in totally new models designed around IPS.
