Group-wide environmental objectives are covering five areas – products, production, market, working methodology and communication – which are essential to the holistic aspect of Volvo’s environmental programmes.
The strategic challenge include environmental objectives
The objectives are part of the annual strategic challenge that the CEO of the Volvo Group gives the business areas, and the necessary actions are to be implemented in the business plans. The follow-up of the environmental objectives is made in strategic dialogues with each business area, and the results are fed back to the overall business plan process. The actions taken and their results are demonstrated in product information, production data reporting and generally in our communication and marketing activities.
Focus on energy efficiency and low emissions
Environmental objectives are based on the focused environmental agenda that was decided in November 2002. The focus is on energy efficiency and low emissions in all aspects of our business.
