Remote Vehicle Immobilisation
A security service that enables a remote authorised user (the owner, police etc.) to initiate safe immobilisation of a vehicle, to prevent continued unauthorised use. The service will benefit players protecting both people and fixed and movable assets. This emerging security sub-area will be driven by developments in legislation and insurance and is restricted by pending safety and legal issues.

Making sure only authorised drivers are behind the wheel is becoming increasingly important to combat threats to sensitive transport carrying dangerous goods (terrorism) or high-value cargo (theft). However, caution must be exercised to protect drivers from becoming the victims of hostage situations, especially when using biometrics as a means of identification.
