» Volvo and Mack are the first truck manufacturers to have their engines certified by the U S Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board as meeting upcoming 2010 diesel emissions standards, the most stringent in the world.

» Total deliveries from the Volvo Group’s truck operations in October amounted to 13,050 vehicles. This was a decrease of 41% compared with the year-earlier period. At the same time, the majority of the truck operations have noted an increase of deliveries in October, compared with September this year. For the Volvo Group in total, the increase was 12% compared with September this year.

» The Volvo Group, Sinotruk (BVI) Limited and China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Corporation (CNHTC) have signed an agreement whereby Sinotruk (BVI) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Corporation, and CNHTC agrees to purchase all of Volvo Group’s equity interest in Jinan Huawo Truck Corporation (Joint Venture), in which Volvo Group currently holds a 50-percent equity interest. The agreement is subject to approval by the P.R.C. authorities.
