Environmental care is one of the Volvo Group’s corporate values. Among other things we work constantly to reduce the environmental impact of the products we manufacture. In this context, the two areas in sharpest focus are air quality and climate effect. With the new generation of diesel engines combined with exhaust gas aftertreatment in the form of SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), emissions of nitrogen oxides and particulates will be reduced to extremely low levels. The technology allows us to lower fuel consumption at the same time, which in turn cuts emissions of carbon dioxides and thus reduces the climate change effect.
