We believe it is vital to offer the right emission reduction technology to each one of our customers. This is why Volvo Trucks is proud to include both Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) as engine technology solutions for our engine range from 2008.
Volvo has a long and extensive history with both SCR and EGR solutions across the globe. Since 2002, all Volvo trucks manufactured in the United States have been equipped with an EGR system, with more than 43,000 trucks with EGR engines now in operation. In Australia, we have drawn upon the Volvo Group’s extensive European experience with SCR in Europe. That experience includes more than 37 million test kilometres, as well as the many thousands of units currently in productive service.
