In the FM400 6x4 option the front suspension is a conventional multi-leaf spring with shock absorbers. Anti roll bar is provided for added stability.

The rear suspension in FM400 6x4 is a lubrication free, robustly dimensioned leaf spring suspended bogie for tandem drive rear axles. It is available with a 9 leaf conventional multi-leaf. The suspension is primarily adapted for handling the very heaviest transport assignments on rough road surfaces.

In the current FM9 300 4x2 configuration with I-shift ( an option in segments such as petroleum transport), suspension inlcudes conventionl multi-leaf in the front axle and air suspension in the rear axles. Air suspension is beneficial to the entire truck and extends the service life of the chassis.
