The Volvo FM manual gearbox is a 14-speed splitter and range gearbox dimensioned for an engine torque of 2400 NM. The gearbox has a wide range of gear ratios and close, well-balanced shift increments. This provides excellent starting traction while at the same time permitting high average speeds.

I-shift

The I-shift gearbox is offered as an option in certain segments and is a 12-speed electronically controlled splt and range gearbox designed for automated gear-changing. Also included is the possibility of manual gear-changing and to be able to lock the gear thereby resulting in high driving flexibility.  It is quiet and more compact than ever, weighing approximately 70 kg less than a manual gearbox.
