McBurney, one of Northern Ireland’s largest independently owned transport operators, has placed an order with Volvo Dealer, Dennison Commercials of Ballyclare for 50 FH-460 tractor units.

Six new Volvo FH-480 Euro 5 low height tractor units have entered service with Featherstone, West Yorkshire-based international logistics operator Brian Yeardley Continental Ltd. The new Volvo’s are operating with a fleet of brand new Krone ‘mega’ trailers hauling ADR freight, white goods and chemicals on Yeardley’s full load and groupage service to and from the Continent.

BBC Top Gear’s first ‘tame racing driver’, Perry McCarthy - alias ‘The Stig’ - was on hand to present the top prize at Volvo’s annual Technician Awards ceremony recently. The event was held for the first time at Stephenson College, Coalville, Leics in the smart new workshops and study area facility there.
