Another key is Volvo’s Performance Guide, an in-cab, ride-along “coach” that helps the driver see instantly how to operate the engine for maximum fuel economy – including correct RPM, acceleration, and shifting to keep the engine performing at its peak efficiency. This can be combined with Volvo’s Performance Bonus to reward the driver for maximizing time in the engine “sweet spot.”
