With a low, one-time installation fee and affordable feature packages, Volvo Link brings the advantages of satellite communication to any fleet traveling anywhere in the United States and Canada.
This global coverage comes from a network of 30 low-earth orbit satellites––providing a distinct advantage over cellular and even geostationary satellite technology, both of which are hampered by “blind spots” and “dead zones.”
Volvo Link may be installed into each vehicle as it’s built, and can be after-market installed in most trucks. On the road, drivers can send and receive text messages using the driver message center display that’s integrated into the dash of both the VN and VHD. It’s
a dependable connection that’s always active and always ready for communication.

Satellite tracking for every truck in your fleet.
Special antennas on the vehicle pick up signals from GPS and Orbcomm low-earth orbit satellites. Digital communications from the truck are sent via Orbcomm to our private network. The dispatcher accesses Volvo Link information through your fleet’s Internet service provider. The dispatcher can view the truck’s exact location within Volvo Link’s mapping system, exchange messages with the driver and monitor the performance of both truck and driver.
