10/6/2008Volvo Trucks’ highway safety focus continues in 2009 sponsorship of America’s Road TeamVolvo Trucks North America again demonstrated a commitment to safety by announcing it will continue to sponsor America’s Road Team in 2009. Volvo Trucks is the sole sponsor of the program, which is the premier national highway safety outreach program for the trucking industry and is run by the American Trucking Associations. The announcement was made today at ATA’s annual meeting in New Orleans.

Volvo Trucks to award three “Great Minds” scholarships to students whose parents drive Volvo trucks.College education is a dream for many students and their parents. Volvo Trucks North America will help three students pay for that dream through its “Volvo Trucks Great Minds” scholarships. The one-year scholarships will be awarded to three deserving students whose parent or guardian drives a Volvo truck.
