| Once again, the Volvo VN was the truck of choice for professional drivers at the 2008 National Truck Driving Championships. The Volvo VN was driven to victory in five of the seven truck classes at the NTDC. NTDC is an annual competition in which state-level driving champions compete for national titles. The championships, sponsored by American Trucking Associations, were held August 19-23 in Houston.

Fuelwatch is a comprehensive approach to get the most out of each gallon of fuel, encompassing vehicle spec’ing, maintenance, performance monitoring and driver behavior. Volvo introduced Fuelwatch at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas. |

| The industry-leading safety technology of Volvo now includes the enhanced braking performance of Bendix heavy-duty air disc brakes on Volvo VN and VT model trucks. The optional disc brakes are available for order now.

| Volvo Trucks North America has received a 100-truck order under an initial phase of the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach Clean Trucks Program. The program calls for 16,000-plus drayage units currently serving container operations to eventually be replaced with modern, environmentally friendly trucks. The order for the trucks was awarded to Volvo dealer TEC of California, Inc. in Fontana. |

| Tales of trucking in the frozen North will be heard in the deserts of Las Vegas as TJ Tilcox of The History Channel’s hit program “Ice Road Truckers” joins Volvo Trucks North America at the Great West Truck Show, June 26-28. TJ will be in the Volvo display at the truck show to sign autographs and to talk to show visitors about his experiences and adventures while driving a Volvo VN on the Canadian ice roads for the program.
