The Volvo FM has a choice of several engines, the D11C and the D13C. Two powerful solutions featured with the latest technology, four valves per cylinder and controlled unit injectors.

D11C – Fuel efficency and driveability in focus
The D11C engine is a 10.8 litre, straight, 6-cylinder diesel engine with turbocharger and intercooler. Available with a choice of four power outputs; 330, 370, 410 and 450 hp.

D13C – Pure power
The D13C engine is a 12.8 litre, straight, 6-cylinder diesel engine with turbocharger and intercooler. This engine is available with a choice of four power outputs; 380, 420, 460 and 500 hp.

More power with lower fuel consumption
The D13C offers higher power and more torque – and the results can be seen in terms of improved driveability. What is more, the new engine meets a higher emission standard with improved fuel efficiency. The new driveline – D13C in combination with the I-Shift transmission – has the potential to cut fuel consumption by 3% compared with its predecessor.

Enhanced Environmental Friendly Vehicles
D11C 330, 370, 410 hp and D13C 420, 460, 500 hp are also available in EEV (Enhanced Environmental friendly Vehicles) versions producing even lower emissions of smoke and particulates.
