My fairy tale began in 1978. I was born and raised in Mölndal, a suburb in the South of Gothenburg. After upper secondary school I took the chance to try several sorts of jobs and to travel and live abroad. I am a person always seeking opportunities for personal growth and development. A stimulating working environment with a creative atmosphere is essential for me. I am sure that Volvo Aero can offer me this!

When I decided on an educational program, it was a matter of course for me to choose the Industrial Engineering and Management program. I chose this to gain further general comprehension and experience. My time in Luleå was fantastic, filled with extra curricular commitments along with the interesting studies. I spent the third year as an exchange student in Graz in Austria and I completed my studies in Australia by conducting my Master of Science thesis there with a supplier to Ford. The subject of my Masters’ thesis was to ‘Plan and develop an optimal material handling process and layout, for the world’s largest mirror assembly for the automotive industry.’ The focus was based on Lean Thinking, Work Environment, and Quality Technology Management.

I was elated to be told I was one of the successful seven accepted into the Volvo Aero graduate program. Attending this individual graduate program has been the best possible start for my career. It has provided me with fantastic experience, provided great possibilities for my future and has more than fulfilled my expectations.

I have so far had the opportunity to spend time within fields such as production development, quality assurance, operational development and now acquisition, with a variety of assignments corresponding to my points of interest.

The company holds an exclusive experience of young graduates which often shows and the program has a well functioning structure, offering valuable mentorship programs and much more. I would especially like to commend the freedom of choice trainees are afforded to create one’s own individual program. The ability to choose work in your own area of interest is an exceptional opportunity.

Thanks to the experiences I have gathered along the way as a trainee, I now have a clearer mind about my future track. I appreciate the intimate atmosphere and all interesting people I have encountered here at VAC. I look forward to my future at Volvo Aero!
