Why Take on This Mission?
“I’m used to handling all kinds of desktop problems, and I wanted to test my skills in new locations. I had never worked on a computer before while wearing a life jacket – until now. Luckily, I don’t get seasick easily. At the race, computers are installed everywhere from the spectator boats to the media center and they have to broadcast data live – out on the water and back in port. There’s no time to think about how to approach a problem, you just have to jump in and solve it.”
