Volvo IT has for the first time signed a general agreement directly with the Ford Motor Company.
The agreement is being signed with the Ford Motor Company in Cologne and will make Volvo IT a preferred provider of consulting services in 2004-2005.
”Ford has chosen to initiate a business relationship directly with Volvo IT and this is a positive move for us, as we are looking to extend our relationship with both Volvo Car Corporation and other companies within Ford Motor Company,” says Christina Eide, the person responsible for Volvo IT’s business with companies in the Ford Motor Company.
Volvo IT is AB Volvo’s and Ford-owned Volvo Cars’ largest IT supplier. Volvo IT’s customers also include other industrial companies. Its range of services includes product lifecycle management (PLM), SAP solutions and IT operations.
