New 16-litre Volvo Penta Tier 3/Stage 3 diesel engine
The new TAD1650VE diesel engine is Volvo Penta’s latest and most powerful engine for off-road and stationary applications. The engine combines impressive power and torque with exhaust emissions that comply with the world’s most stringent regulations: EPA/CARB Tier 3 and EU Stage 3.

Emission approved Volvo Penta power for inland waterways
At the Europort trade show, Volvo Penta is presenting a 5 to 16-litre range for inland waterways duty, covering both propulsion engines and complete marine gensets.

D16 marine genset – now also with radiator cooling
The D16 was introduced as a marine genset one and a half years ago and quickly became a success. Now it is also available with radiator cooling. The new model has been developed for emergency and in-harbour duties aboard merchant ships as well as offshore applications.

Major success for Volvo Penta IPS pioneer
Rodman was one of the first boat builders in the world to adopt Volvo Penta’s IPS system. As early as in January, 2005, the company launched its 41-foot flybridge yacht with IPS. This pioneering spirit has paid off. Sales have grown considerably and today, the company has five models with IPS and has delivered more than 150 boats with the system to customers.

Volvo Penta receives large order for marine diesels from Turkey
Volvo Penta in Turkey has received an order for 20 marine gensets with 16-liter engines and five emergency power units with 7-liter engines. The engines will be installed in new, more environmentally friendly ferry boats that will be placed in service in the Bosporus and the Sea of Marmara.
